Code of Conduct
Effective Date: June 2, 2026
At Elite Martial Arts, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members, visitors, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations for everyone who enters our facility. By training with us, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Respect for All Individuals
- Treat every person with dignity and respect, regardless of rank, experience, age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ability.
- Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or discriminatory language or behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Respect instructors' authority and follow their directions promptly. If you have a concern, address it privately after class or with management.
2. Mat and Training Etiquette
- Bow or acknowledge when entering and leaving the training area as a sign of mutual respect.
- Control your intensity. Train with your partner's safety and learning in mind. Do not use excessive force or dangerous techniques.
- Higher belts and more experienced members have a responsibility to help and protect less experienced training partners. Use your knowledge to uplift, not to dominate.
- If you are accidentally injured or cause injury, stop immediately and inform the instructor.
- No teaching or correcting other students unless explicitly invited to do so by the instructor.
3. Anti-Harassment Policy
We maintain a zero‑tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, including but not limited to:
- Verbal abuse, offensive jokes, or comments
- Unwanted physical contact outside of supervised training
- Sexual harassment or advances
- Stalking, intimidation, or threatening behavior
Any member who experiences or witnesses harassment should immediately report it to an instructor or manager. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and kept as confidential as possible. Violators will be subject to immediate suspension or termination of membership.
4. Zero Tolerance for Violence Outside Training
Martial arts skills are to be used for self‑defense, sport, and personal development only. Any member who uses martial arts training to instigate violence, assault others outside of supervised training, or engage in criminal activity will have their membership permanently revoked and may be reported to law enforcement.
5. Substance Use
Training under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Prescription medications that may impair your ability to train safely should be disclosed to the instructor before class. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the facility.
6. Personal Conduct and Facility Care
- Keep the facility clean. Dispose of trash properly, wipe down equipment after use, and return all gear to its designated place.
- No profanity or aggressive outbursts. We strive to maintain a family‑friendly atmosphere.
- Personal disputes between members must be resolved outside the facility or through mediation with management. Do not bring personal conflicts onto the mat.
7. Social Media and Public Representation
When representing Elite Martial Arts online or in public, members are expected to reflect our values of respect and integrity. Do not post content that disparages the academy, its members, or staff. Tagging or identifying our facility in posts that violate this Code may result in disciplinary action.
8. Enforcement and Consequences
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in a verbal warning, written warning, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of membership at the discretion of management. No refunds will be issued for terminations resulting from Code violations.
9. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please speak with an instructor or contact management directly:
